Rosette-type plant, about 6" tall. Submerged leaves are long-stemmed and light-green to reddish in color. Banana-shaped roots store nutrients. Then, olive-green (floating) leaves are water lily-like, with reddish undersides. After floating leaves appear, it produces white flowers.
Sold as individual rooted (unpotted) plants - about 4" to 6" tall.
Use as a foreground plant.
- True submerged/amphibious, aquarium plant.
- Native to (Southeast) USA.
- Spreads by rhizomes or offshoots.
- Prefers sandy soil.
